Generally speaking, you want to create ultra high levels of ozone in the air for short periods of time to perform successful ozone shock treatments. Low levels of ozone over long periods of time (24-48 hrs) as some ozone vendors recommend will deteriorate the foam in furniture and the carpet's padding and leave an "ozone smell" that will stick around for days. To avoid that, follow our suggestions and do SHORT, HIGH CONCENTRATION ozone shock treatments! One to six hours max, that's all it takes!
